    About the artist

Klinta Lapsa — Latvian painter and abstract artist

    I died. Literally.

Eight years ago an event turned my life completely upside down. And when I came back, everything changed.

I started painting. Not because I planned to. Because I had to.

Every day I sit in front of a blank canvas and give in to whatever comes. The scenes, the colors, the images, they arrive on their own. Like something speaking through me that I can't explain and stopped trying to.

Each painting carries that. The weight of what I came back from. The lightness of what I found on the other side.

I paint for people whose minds rarely stop. The ones who carry a lot, who come home and need one place where they can finally breathe.

My collectors don't buy my work to fill a wall.

They buy it because something in the painting speaks to something in them they were not expecting to find.

Maybe that painting is waiting for you too.
